More people are going vegan every day. But what is a Vegan lifestyle?
The vegan lifestyle is described as “a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.”
Simply put, it is a world in which no animals are harmed by service to humans. If you wish to lead a vegan life, the changes include more than just changing your diet, it also includes changing your mindset towards the ill-treatment of animals.
Of course, veganism also includes diet. Vegans don’t eat meat, eggs, dairy, or any other animal by-product, including the honey that bees produce.

Some reasons why people turn Vegan:
For the animals
Preventing the exploitation of animals is the key factor in the decision to go vegan and stay vegan. Having emotional attachments with animals may form part of that reason, and avoiding animal products is one of the most obvious ways you can take a stand against animal cruelty and animal exploitation everywhere.

For your health
Well-planned vegan diets follow healthy eating guidelines and contain all the nutrients that our bodies need and are suitable for every age and stage of life. Some research has linked vegan diets with lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and lower rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some types of cancer.
For the environment
The production of meat places a heavy burden on the environment, the vast amount of grain feed required for meat production is a significant contributor to deforestation, habitat loss, and species extinction. One of the most effective things an individual can do to lower their carbon footprint is to avoid all animal products.

It's time to ask ourselves: if it is now possible to live a life that delivers better health, leaves a smaller carbon footprint, and avoids killing other creatures - then why don't we? Turn Vegan today! Nani will be posting easy, vegan recipes on her blog and Instagram soon, stay tuned.
