Tiranga Barfi

Introduction
This delicious Tricolor Barfi is an Independence Day special which can be enjoyed both by adults and children alike. In this organic recipe artificial color has not been used. For my first recipe I chose to make a Tiranga Barfi as a way to show love for my country. Nothing is a better idea than a healthy, sweet recipe on this auspicious day.

Steps
To make green colour layer:
1. Finely grate bottlegourd and add it in a cooker
2. To this, add some milk
3. Wait for the cooker to give two or three whistles
4. Now shift it to pan and sprinkle black cardamom powder on it
(Remember we want the consistency to be moist and not fully dry)
5. Set aside in a freezer for some time
To make orange colour layer:
-grate carrot and repeat the same steps as we did for green colour layer
To make white colour layer:
1. Add some milk in pan and turn on the gas on low-medium flame
2. Add some unsweetened khoya to this
3. Add 1 cup sugar (or according to taste)
4. Let it simmer for 4-8 mins till the consistency becomes thick
Now it is time to check on our orange and green layers. The two layers should be half set by now. Cut all 3 layers in any shape you desire. Join both the layers with the help of white layer in between and keep it in freezer for 1-2 hours.
Your Tiranga Barfi is ready to be served!
Happy Independence day 2020! :)
